Displays and exhibits in the Civic Center Library are featured in display cases in the lobby and under the central stairway. The gallery on the 2nd floor is suitable for mounting large photographs or pictures. The Children's Room is the 3rd primary area of display, but is designed to highlight children's programming.
Displays in the Mission Branch Library are featured in the display cases of the entrance lobby. Displays may also be posted in the children's area, again to highlight programming. Special displays may also be mounted in the Community Room.
In both libraries, the displays in the cases are changed monthly, except in cases of special displays when a shorter or longer time may be arranged. Community members with special collections are encouraged to contact the library by calling:

DISPLAY GUIDELINES
All works should arrive at the library ready for hanging or display. The library does not provide materials nor the room to prepare art works for display. Framed art works should have picture wire attached to the back of the frame.
Collections and other items to be placed in the locked cases may be arranged by you or by a staff liaison.
School art displays will be hung under the direction of the Children's Librarian, and need no special framing.
Delivery and retrieval of exhibit materials from the library are the owner's responsibility.
It is not possible for exhibitors to list prices on items they wish to sell. However, the exhibitor may show his or her name and phone number inside the cases for library patrons to contact.
Every precaution will be taken to protect the exhibitor's art work or collection, but neither the City of Oceanside nor Oceanside Public Library assume any liability for the exhibits or displays.
